LUY TEACHERS
Lauren Urich
Owner & Teacher
200 Hr
Lauren started out her business working with private clients and doing special events like Beer Yoga and Yoga Parties. Lauren's followers grew and she found an old garage to teach her students in, two nights a week. That evolved into an even bigger space and she began teaching 7 classes a week until she found the right teachers to add to her team.
Lauren is constantly learning and sharing her experiences with her students. She focuses on alignment and safety, and most importantly, having fun! Lauren loves teaching all ages and she has a wide scope of yoga styles she teaches from. Lauren loves teaching athletes and people with injuries or limitations. She loves helping people connect to their bodies and learn to love the bodies they are in. Lauren loves helping people achieve their goals, and she wants everyone to thrive and feel good!
Scott Weinert
Studio Manager & Teacher
200 Hr
Scott has been a professional firefighter for over 24 years. He found his yoga practice in 2016 while trying to combat the effects of compassion fatigue caused by years of exposure to death and trauma. He credits his practice for the reason he’s in the best physical shape of his life; and for helping him establish a healthy, grounded mindset.
Scott completed his 200 hour teacher training in 2023 after practicing for over seven years. Scott's goal is to continuously grow his practice and share the benefits of yoga with his students. He hopes that his background and experiences will encourage people to find their own way to their yoga mat.
Madlyne Moeller
Teacher
200 Hr
Madlyne has always felt a calling to help others. Madlyne’s first step on the healing path was becoming a yoga teacher in 2011. That grew into a love and passion for healing through massage and she now owns and operates her own massage business in downtown Chehalis; Heart Center Massage Therapy. Madlyne is a licensed massage therapist, and she specializes in Thai Massage, Reiki and Hypnotherapy.
Her classes radiate playful yet relaxing energy and she creates a safe space for students to rest and heal. She believes in the power of self-love and the body's ability to heal through self-compassion and loving kindness.
Jasmine King
Teacher
200 Hr
Jasmine found yoga in 2013 during her first year at The Evergreen State College. She began practicing as a way to feel grounded and safe in her body.
Yoga has helped her to heal old wounds, find a sense of playfulness and to be gentle with herself.
In 2020, Jasmine got her 200 hour certification. She has taught a variety of styles including: hot power, vinyasa, gentle, yin and kids yoga. She hopes to create a safe space where people can be themselves and discover the many joys of yoga.
Lauren Gordon
Teacher
200 Hr
Lauren comes from a strict ballet/dance background where lines and poses were essential. The more she explored yoga, she found the lines and poses to be secondary to the feelings she experienced while practicing yoga.
Lauren's practice continues to evolve and grow. "It's more about honoring your present self by listening to what your body needs in the now, and I love that."
Lauren became a teacher to help others make that mind body connection to feel more grounded and to help them feel present.
Kerry Coombs
Teacher
200 Hr
Kerry has practiced Yoga for decades, mostly as a tool to balance out the intensity of difficult workouts, maintain flexibility, and overcome injury.
Through the process of becoming a certified Freediving Instructor in 2021, Kerry discovered a deep joy and inner peace through relaxation, meditation, and breathwork practices that are a cornerstone in the realms of both Freediving and Yoga. This led her deeper into her Yoga practice and a more mindful lifestyle, and eventually to Yoga Teacher Training where she experienced a profound healing transformation. Recognizing these immense healing and transformative potentials of Yoga, she has made a conscious shift. She now embraces Yoga as her primary practice to maintain fitness, but also holistic well-being of the mind, body, and spirit.
Kerry is passionate about the mind-body-breath connection, and guides invigorating Vinyasa classes that emphasize individuality, alignment, and safety, while encouraging a deeper dive into one’s self.
Kari Gammelgaard
Teacher
200 Hr
Kari’s yoga practice began over a decade ago, but her teaching journey began after a major health crisis in 2020.
Kari found inner peace and a quiet mind through yoga. Yoga helped her navigate a difficult time in her life and in a nut shell, yoga helped put her back together. She learned how to rebuild her balance and strength, and she loves helping others do the same.
Teaching yoga allows Kari to share the practice that offered her so much healing and growth while also holding space for authenticity. Kari invites her students to show up in a spirit of self-compassion, to use breath to pause the murmur of outside chaos, and to tap into the imperfect beauty, strength, and inner calm that yoga offers.
