Join Lauren for a cozy evening of heated Yin yoga. The studio will be heated 80-85 degrees. You will use supportive props that will allow you to settle into a deep and nourishing practice. You will practice pranayama or breath work while holding asanas or poses for 3-6 minutes. This workshop is beginner and expert friendly. Yin yoga is about body and breath awareness, it allows you to find the appropriate depth for your body while you remain still and breathe. You will get into the pose comfortably, remain still, breathe and hold the pose-that's it! Yin yoga can help balance the emotions, improve flexibility, stretch connective tissues, improve circulation, enhance mental focus, improve sleep and promote relaxation. The heat helps to prevent injuries and allows you to relax and surrender to the poses. The heat also adds to the detoxification. Props provided, feel free to bring warm clothes, socks, and your own blanket if you need more than the one blanket provided. Please bring your water bottle and yoga mat. Tickets must be purchased online prior to event. $30 early bird pricing, price goes up to $35 April 1st. Please be on time, doors will open at 5:30 pm and will be locked at 6pm for the workshop.
