A NEW DIRECTION
I had a hole in my heart. I was seeking love and approval in every direction. Because I was so unwell I surrounded myself with other unhealthy people. I was lost. Yoga taught me to stop and listen. I learned to listen to my thoughts and to my body. For the first time in my life, I cared about my health. Yoga taught me that I had everything I needed within myself and that I could love myself no matter what. I no longer need validation from others. I found myself. I found my power. I found a new, healthy, and happy lifestyle.

MY DISCOVERY
At the age of 18 I left my small hometown in search of sex, drugs, and rock and roll. I found a job at a local call center, dinner from vending machines, and a new reckless "adult" life. Little did I know, I was on the path to self-destruction. Several months later, chronic pain had settled into my tailbone which led me to doctors who led me to physical therapy and pharmaceuticals. I was pushed to manage my pain with narcotics and anti-depressants as well as being told that a spinal fusion was the only solution. Soon I found myself incapable of doing anything that I loved. I became depressed and withdrawn. Medications to manage my pain were ruining my life. I was mentally and physically ill. My spirits were at an all time low. After months of suffering, the universe led me to a little yoga house that I had driven by millions of times but never really noticed. This little yoga house quickly became my sanctuary, and the beginning of my self discovery.

MY WHY
I want to aid you in your own self-discovery and empowerment with yoga. I want you to feel good. I want to be a part of your healing. Whether your pain is physical, mental, or emotional, you don't have to live life in pain. If you are suffering or feeling hopeless, like I was, hear my story.
You are not alone, you are my why.

EXPERIENCE
I received my 200 Hour Power Vinyasa Certification from Core Power Yoga in 2012 in Portland, OR. I went on to complete their Extensions Program for hands-on assists. I taught off and on since my certification, and my passion continued to grow. I decided to get back into teaching full time after having two kids and really missing my practice. I knew I wanted to do something meaningful and fulfilling, unlike my past jobs. And I wanted to teach yoga for real, not just here and there.
I started teaching without a studio and got into an active practice at home. My family and pets even started to join in. I traveled to my private and semi-private clients, I taught Beer Yoga at the local dive, I taught at special events and local venues, and I eventually ended up sharing a local photography studio teaching two nights a week. Those 2 nights a week evolved into the need for my own studio, which is where I teach now! I opened up right before the holidays of 2022, which was crazy but sure to be memorable for my family and my business.
I am big on alignment and safety, and I am known for my hands-on approach. I have taught seniors, preschoolers, athletes, moms & tots and those in-between. I intend to build a community where people are safe to be their authentic selves, where everyone can learn, heal and grow together.
Thanks for believing in me guys! Without you, I wouldn't be where I am today. I am very grateful for your support and love, I am honored to be apart of this community.
